As Qatar sees a spike in COVID-19 cases over the past few days, healthcare workers are faced yet again with an unprecedented workload.
Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H.E. Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater took to Twitter early Tuesday, 4 January 2022, to commend the heroic efforts of healthcare workers who have been at the forefront of Qatar's continuous fight against the pandemic.
H.E. Al Khater expressing her gratitude tweeted:
"The medical staff works day and night, and I personally know those who have been working for more than 18 hours straight for weeks, not to mention the past two years. Personally, I say thanks to every doctor, every nurse, and every security man."

In another tweet, she said:
"What prompted me to write the tweet is that I just learned that one of the female colleagues - she was praying day and night, even in the event of her illness and despite her family responsibilities - had suffered a severe attack from Covid, I pray for her recovery and say, may God reward you all, and may God protect the country and everyone who lives on its land."
