Qatar Fund for Development announced in a tweet on 21 July 2022, that the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health had received two batches of about 991,000 litres of fuel.

The fuel sent will be used to support more than 40 government medical facilities and elderly care centers.

Qatar's gesture was highly appreciated by the Lebanese Minister of Public Health Firas Al-Abyad who stated the following:

"providing government hospitals and drug warehouses with the necessary fuel to generate power is vital and necessary to achieve this goal," noting that "it is not the first time that the sisterly State of Qatar feels Lebanon is not alone in a time of crisis"
