The matches of the AFC Festival of Football for U-14 boys from the West region kicked off in the Qatari capital on Tuesday promising to be an excellent opportunity for young players to hone their skills and develop better appreciation for the beautiful game. The inauguration of the matches was organised in a beautiful and colorful atmosphere at the Technical Complex with the attendance of more than 2,000 spectators including coaches and educators, families and students. Ali Jasim Mefftah, the General Secretary of the Qatar FA Technical Committee, gave the signal to kick off the festival matches which started after about a week of educational opportunities for the other proponents of grassroots and youth football such as the coaches, referees, physiotherapists and team doctors.
