The Customs Department of Hamad International Airport foiled an attempt to smuggle cannabis and tramadol pills when the customs inspector suspected a traveller coming into Qatar. The authorities subjected him to a full-body scanner and he was found to be concealing foreign objects in his stomach.

Qatar Customs in a Tweet said that after the medical examination, the smuggled items turned out to be 7 capsules wrapped in a sticker containing 48.3 grams of cannabis and 9 pills of tramadol narcotic pills.
