Qatar Customs announced in a tweet on 12 January 2023 that the customs at Hamad International Airport had thwarted the smuggling of cocaine which was discretely hidden in shoes.
احبطت ادارة جمارك مطار حمد الدولي محاولة تهريب مادة الكوكاكيين المخدرة بعد ان تم ضبطها بداخل فردتين حذاء حيث بلغ الوزن للمادةالمضبوطة 1553.8 جرام تقريباً، وعليه تم تحرير محضر ضبط وتسليم المضبوطات للجهات المختصة بالدولة#جمارك_قطر pic.twitter.com/EZ9LmKh1F3

The illegal substance weighed a total of 1553.8 grams.
It was also mentioned that a seizure report had been issued, and the seized substance had been handed over to the authorities.
