The Customs Department of Hamad International Airport announced on 4 May 2023 that they thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotic hashish, following the suspicion of the customs inspector of the traveler's bag. The details of the seizure came when the customs inspector inspected the bag. The narcotic hashish was found, with a total weight of 4.916 kilograms, and accordingly, a seizure report was made.
