In a tweet on 1 May 2023, Qatar Customs announced that the Customs Department of Hamad International Airport thwarted an attempt to smuggle Lyrica pills into the country as a result of the customs inspector’s suspicion of the bags of one of the passengers.
أحبطت إدارة جمارك مطار حمد الدولي محاولة تهريب حبوب اللاريكا ، وذلك أثر اشتباه مفتش الجمارك لحقائب أحد المسافرين ، وعند فتح الحقيبة عثر على المضبوطات بداخلها ، يبلغ عددها 3360 حبه ، وعليه تم تحرير محضر ضبط واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة#جمارك_قطر pic.twitter.com/54D9BehgJf

The total number of pills amounted to 3,360. Accordingly, a seizure report was issued and the necessary measures were taken.
