It has been announced in a tweet by Qatar Customs on April 18, 2022 that the smuggling of narcotic drugs had been foiled by the inspectors at the Hamad International Airport.

The seized drugs were found hidden in the bag of a passenger. The attempted smuggling of drugs included 100 pills of tramadol, 455 pills of other kinds of drugs and 18 pills of another type which were stored in a medicine box.
