Earlier today, the Hamad International Airport (HIA) Customs was successful in foiling an attempt to smuggle 6 kilograms and 80 grams of the narcotic marijuana into Qatar.

The marijuana was hidden inside packets that contained snacks and plastic containers, and was being smuggled into Qatar from an Asian country, according to a Twitter post by the General Authority of Customs Qatar.

The reason the Customs in Qatar have been so efficient in foiling attempts to smuggle drugs and narcotics into Qatar is because of the efforts of the Customs Officers, their knowledge of the the smuggling methods used by smugglers and the latest inspection devices at the HIA.
