The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli occupation police's prevention of releasing the body of Al-Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Aqleh from the French hospital in Jerusalem, and their suppression of the funeral procession, and added that the occupation authorities not only killed Shireen in cold blood while she was performing her duty, but also continued to terrorize civilians and participants in the funeral to her final resting place, reflecting the brutality of the Israeli apartheid regime, and the absence of all human values.
Shireen was shot dead in the occupied West Bank on 11 May 2022 by Israeli forces while reporting.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for Israel to stop its arbitrary measures immediately, taking into account the sanctity of the dead and respecting their dignity and the human feelings of the families of the deceased and the brotherly Palestinian people.
