Qatar condemns attack on Saudi oil facilities

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said in a tweet: “We condemn attacks on vital and civilian facilities, recently in Buqayq. These wars and conflicts must stop and efforts must be united to achieve common collective security in the region.”

Earlier in the day, the Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed responsibility for the attacks.

"These wars and conflicts must stop and efforts must be made to achieve common collective security in the region," he added. Since 2015, the Saudi-led coalition has been fighting the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Qatar Partakes in Extraordinary Meeting of OIC in Saudi Arabia

The State of Qatar is taking part in the Extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the level of foreign ministers, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Organization in Jeddah.

H.E Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi heads the State of Qatar's delegation to the meeting. The meeting discussed the recent Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks in which he said he would annex large parts of the occupied lands in the West Bank, including the Jordan Valley.
