Qatar Charity (QC) won the Excellence Award in the field of orphan care (Kafel) for the current year, from the Regional Network for Social Responsibility in cooperation with regional and international organizations and bodies, during its participation in the activities of the 3rd World Conference on Orphan Care 2020, which was organized via digital remote technologies.

Qatar Charity received the award in recognition of its role in supporting comprehensive orphan care services in the social, health, educational and entertainment fields.

The assistant CEO for International Operations and Partnerships Sector at Qatar Charity Faisal Al Fehaida, expressed his happiness with this award that supports and encourages charitable work efforts, especially with regard to caring for the orphans.

Al Fehaida said that the award represents an additional incentive for Qatar Charity to upgrade its programs, develop its services, improve its performance in terms of quantity and quality, expand the circle of beneficiaries, especially sponsoring orphans, and support initiatives that care for them.

He added that Qatar Charity has taken care of more than 175,000 thousand orphans on three continents, through an international humanitarian initiative that cares for the rehabilitation of orphans by preparing and managing effective programs and channels that contribute to providing them with a decent life.

Qatar Charity has also promoted the use of digital technologies in its services, by providing information related to projects , and facilitating the donation process for those who wish to sponsor, and obtaining everything related to the selection of their sponsored through the electronic portal, Qatar Charity websites and applications, and the use of smart devices.
