Qatar Charity sends medical teams to Libya

DOHA: Qatar Charity announced that two of its delegations have arrived at the Tunisian-Libyan border and the Egyptian-Libyan border to provide emergency aid and coordinate medical relief for persons affected by the latest developments in Libya. The second phase of Qatar Charity assistance campaign focuses on sending teams of specialist doctors and nurses as well as the provision of shipments of medicines and medical appliances and food in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), said Qatar News Agency (QNA) yesterday. The first delegation, which arrived at the Tunisian-Libyan border, is headed by Deputy Medical Director of HMC and Qatar Charity Board Member Dr Abdul Wahab while the second delegation, which arrived at the Egyptian-Libyan border, is headed by Orthopaedics Consultant at HMC Saleh Al Yazidi.
