The Al Sharq newspaper reported on 3 July 2022, the provisioning of aid to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh by Qatar Charity.
The refugees that are located on the Bangladeshi island of Basanshahar have received food baskets and gas cylinders to support their food security.
A total of 15,442 refugees have benefitted from the provisioning.
Qatar Charity, along with the UNHCR office in Bangladesh carried out the execution of the aid provisioning.
The support was provided at a time when approximately 30,000 Rohingya refugees have been moved to Basanshahar from the previous camps in Cox's Bazar district.
The support Qatar Charity provides to the Rohingya refugees is continuous and has been on-going since the beginning of this refugee camp.
