Qatar Charity (QC) has launched Al-Amal Hospital at al-Rayhania city on the Turkish borders with Syria to serve mainly the wounded Syrians who comes from inside Syria.
The hospital was established and funded by QC with the partnership the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), and the Syrian Society for relief and development, a Syria charity which operates on the Turkish territories.
The 30-bed hospital has 10 intensive care rooms, 11 consulting room, three operation chambers, two X-ray rooms, in addition to clinics in internal medicine, gynecology, plastic surgery, first aid, and a mortuary.
Qatar Charity said in a statement that an urgent need has emerged to establish medical facilities on safe spots at the Syrian borders and the Al-Amal Hospital can conduct critical surgeries by a team of volunteer experienced surgeons.
This is the first integrated hospital on the Turkish-Syrian border. Several QC officials, representatives from IHH and hospital officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
