The Qatar Charity (QC) has financed the Umrah trip of 70 Gaza sportsmen who won the Palestinian championships. The 15-day trip will be held before the start of Ramadan. QC will provide all the documents and pay for the transportation and clothes besides a personal allowance to each of them. Hamas leader Ismail Haniya appreciated the role of Qatar in supporting the sports movement in Palestine. He particularly thanked QC for such financing the Umrah trip, which would reflect positively on the morale of the sportsmen. Ibrahim Zanil, director of QC office in Gaza, said this project is part of a series of support activities given by Qatar and a reaffirmation of the love of Qatari people to the Palestinians.
