According to a report made by Al Sharq, The Ministry of Labor has called on delivery service providers to stop deliveries by motorbicycles from 10 am to 3:30 pm starting, Friday, 1 July 2022 until 15 September 2022. This is to prevent workers from the dangers of heat stress.
The Ministry of Labour also released a reminder on Twitter regarding the same matter.

As per Al Sharq, a circular from the Director of the Labor Inspection Department was released to delivery service providers regarding “compliance with Ministerial Resolution No. 17 of 2021 regarding the measures to be taken to protect workers from the dangers of heat stress." The circular further explains that through inspection campaigns done, it has been uncovered that there is a lack of shaded areas being provided to delivery workers and calls for the immediate action of the concerned parties.
