Doha 23 January, 2013: The Qatar Australia and New Zealand Business Association (QANZBA) have formally elected its new leadership committee for 2013. At its recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), members of the organization also resolved to change the name of the group to QANZBA- from ANZBIQ- to better reflect its business and networking focus. The committee elected Susie Billings as chair of QANZBA, with Jonathan Cartmell elected as Vice Chair and Ian Lindquist as Treasurer. “2012 was one of the busiest and most productive for the organization which was established in Qatar in 2004 for Australians and New Zealanders based in Qatar,” Ms Billings said. “With Qatar establishing an embassy in Australia, there is now even more interest in companies from our region exploring what this country has to offer. “We have an exciting program of events planned in 2013 including business –focused lunches, dinners and networking evenings including the ever popular speed networking events.
