Qatar and Argentina sign three agreements

A round of official talks were held at the Pink House here on Monday between the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Argentinian President Cristina Fernandez De Kirchner. The talks were attended by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani. Following the talks, the Emir and the Argentine President witnessed the signing ceremonies of three agreements between Qatar and Argentina on economic and commericial cooperation, air transportation agreement and a third one on sports. Signing the agreements for Qatar was the Minister of State for International Cooperation H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah who is also Acting Minister Of Business and Trade while it was signed for the Argentine side by Vice President Julio Cobos and Minister of Foreign Relations, Internartional Trade & Worship Jorge Enrique Taiana Meanwhile, H H Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned visited the Museum of Latin American Art (Malba) of Buenos Aires on Monday. Sheikha Mozah was given a detailed briefing on the development of art in Latin America. The Emir and Sheikha Mozah attended a dinner banquet last night hosted by the Argentine President Cristina Fernandez Kirchner. The Emir in his speech stressed Qatar’s commitment to stand with Argentina to push forward all endeavours geared to build a global order of security, peace and justice. In this regard, the Emir expressed Qatar’s support to all initiatives that would help implement decisions of the Brasilia Declaration of 2005 and the Doha Declaration of 2009 to further strengthen relations between states in our regions. The Emir’s regional tour also includes Brazil, Venezuela and Costa Rica. QNA
