His Excellency (H.E.) Ambassador of Qatar to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani said that Qatar, based on the vision of the wise leadership, is preparing for the future by ensuring greater independence and self-sufficiency.

This came in a lengthy report published by the French newspaper "La Nouvelle Republique", in comments on the H.E. the Ambassador's opening of an exhibition held in the Museum of Vendome.

H.E. Qatar's Ambassador to France said that his visit to Vendome is his first economic and cultural visit to a French city in the framework of the long-established relations between the State of Qatar and the French Republic, adding: "We seek to strengthen exchanges and thus we will visit different areas."

In its comments, the French newspaper said that the Ambassador of Qatar to France, who was assigned last October, was the guest of MP Pascal Brando, president of Qatar-France Friendship Group, who succeeded former deputy Maurice Leroy, who was also present.

The paper added that former head of the municipality of Vendome was in Doha in March with French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe on the occasion of the opening of the National Museum of Qatar, which was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel.

The paper noted that Qatar's quest for self-sufficiency was reflected in the city of Vendome through the interest of the agriculture and health sectors and through meetings and visits of companies, noting that a working meeting was held for representatives of French companies.
