Qatar Airways launches Facebook contest for FC Barcelona fans

Qatar Airways recently kicked off its sponsorship of the FC Barcelona Asia Tour by launching a contest for fans on Facebook to celebrate the airline’s support for the team’s visit to Bangkok, Thailand, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The competition which ran from July 1 to 31 gained the airline hundreds of thousands of new fans. According to analytics platform Social Bakers Qatar Airways is the fastest growing airline on social media. Two winners, from one of many destinations Qatar Airways flies, will fly with a guest in the airline’s award-winning Business Class and receive VIP tickets to the Bangkok or Kuala Lumpur match. They also have a chance to meet FC Barcelona players for a private autograph session, as well as two nights at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok by the River of Kings or Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Airline is also giving its fans the opportunity to customise their Facebook and Twitter profiles with an exclusive badge to share their love for football. The airline expects continued strong surge of fans, as it spreads its brand message worldwide via its partnership with FC Barcelona as main sponsor.
