Good news! You can now carry your electronic devices on board from flights departing Hamad International Airport to the United States, confirmed Qatar Airways today, the 6th of July.
In March, the United States imposed an electronic ban on ten airports in eight countries: Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Turkey. The electronic ban was issued as a result of the US believing that these countries are linked to terrorism.
However, on Wednesday Emirates and Turkish Airlines announced that they now allow passengers to carry electronic devices on board. Today, Qatar Airways joins the two airlines. But Morocco, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait remain on the list. What do you think of this news? Let us know in the comment section below. Don’t forget to like and share—it keeps us going!
