Qatar Airways recently bagged the award for the World’s Leading Business Class during the World Travel Awards grand final ceremony. The 2008 Global Winners of the World Travel Awards — also known as the travel industry’s “Oscars” — were announced at the 15th Annual Gala Ceremony at Beaches Resort on the Caribbean island of Turks and Caicos. In a worldwide survey conducted by WTA, travel and tourism professionals initially voted Qatar Airways as the Middle East’s Leading Business Class Airline for the second consecutive year. The winners from each region were nominated to the international finals which saw airlines, hotels, cruise operators and travel companies from across the globe compete with each other for the coveted world’s best. Qatar Airways has been showered with several awards this year.
