Qatar Academy staff and students – Alkhour has supported Qatar cancer society in its
mission about breast cancer awareness campaign toward the society by organizing
several awareness and educational events during the month of October last year.
During the month, the Academy has contributed to raising awareness about this cause
annually by wearing pink custom to confirm their support for the society awareness
campaign, and their insistence on getting the message out to the community in the need
for periodic inspection and self-disclosure of the breast and the need to follow healthy
life style to prevent and reduce cancer in Qatar.
Mrs. Aisha al-Muqbali the Academic director expressed her proud about what the
students have done to support Qatar cancer society in its awareness campaign for the
month of October”. In addition, the breast cancer awareness consider as social
responsibility for all individual in community. On other hand, the participation of Qatar
cancer society in its awareness mission is just to confirm its importance role of
awareness in community, and the need of distribute health awareness toward the
disease and its causes in the school environment . Where the awareness campaign in
school and universities let students to be aware about the importance of the awareness
role in community, to get out the correct concepts toward this daisies in the community.
Doctor Mahasen Okasha the head of the Awareness Department in Qatar Cancer
Society confirmed, that Qatar cancer society concerned to direct its awareness mission
for social groups In particular students in schools and universities, because of the
importance of development the community. To outreach healthy society we must as the
community aware young people to raise a principle of “Prevention is better than cure”,
and Implant the concept of the possibility of cancer treatment and the possibility of
prevention and fight it. Where it is a treatable disease if detected early and follow
healthy lifestyles where it contribute significantly in the prevention of cancer and protect
individuals from infection.
