The third Qatar Motor Show expects to break last year’s record of 120,000 attendees. This year’s event will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani, who will cut the ribbon on January 28, a day before the public opening. “With the country working on fulfilling the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030, and the Qatar Motor Show contributing to the national economy and the country’s regional and international image, the premier’s patronage and presence is a testament to how important this event is, not only to Qatar, but to the region and the automotive world,” said organisers. Visitors of the Motor Show will have the opportunity to test drive the most fancy and modern SUVs and cars. Additionally, motor sports fans will have a chance to listen to and learn from international professional drivers during test drives and stunt shows. With more exhibitors, and first-time high-profile participants such as McLaren, Brabus, Bertone, and W Motors — who will showcase the first Arab-designed hypercar — visitor numbers are expected to break last year’s record of 120,000. In addition, all types of cars of a wide variety of brands will be exhibited at the show, from SUVs, luxury vehicles, sports cars, to concept vehicles. Visitors can also expect demonstrations and other shows, highly interactive and hands-on experiences, including driving simulators, sports relays, a classic car show, drifting, and more. This year’s event will be co-hosted by the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), q.media Events, and GL Events. It will open its doors on January 29 and run until February 2 at the Doha Exhibition Center.
