The South Security Department has rewarded two religious figures for their efforts in spreading awareness about religion among non-Arab inmates. Fareed Al Ajmi, A French Islamic propagator and Kamal Labo, his translator, had conducted a number of religious lectures among prison inmates. The lectures were translated into both Arabic and English. The awareness drive was organised by the South Security Department and aimed at increasing the inmates’ knowledge about human rights issues and religious teachings. Colonel Muhammed Jassim Al Sulaiti, Director of South Security Department, presented certificates of appreciation to the two. The South Security Department has also honoured Muhammed Mahboub Mujeeb Al Rahman, a Bangladeshi resident, whose cooperation helped police in executing a security mission. http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=June2009&file=Local_News2009062821039.xml
