The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) launched its new website on Thursday, with a host of new services. According to Qatar Tribune, the services also enable people to register with PHCC and get sick leave electronically.

Dr. Maryam Ali Abdulmalik, Director General of the Primary Health Care Corporation, launched the new website of PHCC, in the presence of a number of senior officials, directors of departments and various media, today morning.

The new website: www.phcc.gov.qa, is characterized by ease of use, effectiveness and distinctive design according to the latest standards.

It also allows easy access to the services and information of the corporation, its various departments and its health centres. The website, which was redeveloped and launched in both Arabic and English, also supports accessibility options for people with colour discrimination problems or vision impairment and people with special needs, in line with international standards.

Mr. Abdullah Muhammad Al-Mansoori, Executive Director for Financial and Administrative Affairs at the Primary Health Care Corporation said, “We are looking forward to making this portal an electronic platform to introduce the services provided by the corporation and the necessary awareness and all our activities and activities through which we achieve the goals of the National Health Strategy.“

Mrs. Hoda Al-Wahidi, Executive Director of the Corporate Communication Department at the Primary Health Care Corporation, “This official launch revealed many positive matters related to the form and content and the shift from an information site to a service site and a gateway to facilitate services for the public and patients.“

According to Qatar Tribune, the new website provides people with access to PHCC’s services like:

- new patient registration service
- request a report from the medical record service
- new patient appointment, cancellation of appointment and
- re-scheduling of appointment of health centre patients services.

One can also now easily change the family physician service, change the health centre according to the place of residence and add a dependent to the same family services. All this can be done electronically without having to go to health centres.

Mr. Nasser Abdullah Al-Obaidan, Director General of the Office of the Director-General of the Primary Health Care Corporation said, “We are working to spread health awareness and develop services in line with the National Health Strategy by introducing a new approach to focus on population health in the country and integrated primary care for all.“
