The fifth edition of the Traditional Pearl Diving and Fishing Competition (Senyar) will be launched at Katara Beach today. The event which will go on until April 9 will have 948 participants across 69 teams. The competition includes three categories. The organising committee has already finalised the technical inspection of all the participating dhows. Photo shows one of the teams from last year’s edition of the contest celebrating a catch.
