The Pakistan embassy in Doha yesterday commemorated the 67th Independence Day of Pakistan. The event was attended by a large number of Pakistanis including men, women and children living in different parts of Qatar. The ambassador Syed Hassan Raza hoisted Pakistan’s national flag at the ceremony, following which students of Pakistan Education Centre (PEC) sang the national anthem. Addressing the gathering, the envoy said that the embassy is doing its best to provide Pakistanis all kinds of facilities here. He also read out messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan that conveyed greetings to all Pakistanis living overseas, and reaffirmed that Pakistan will defeat the menace of terrorism.
