Over 90 organisations participate in 'No Paper Day' campaign

Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), successfully concluded its annual "No Paper Day (NPD)" campaign with the participation of more than 90 local organizations.

According to a statement issued by QGBC, the campaign took part in the 7th NPD an annual nationwide campaign by QGBC, it is part of QGBC's ongoing efforts to encourage schools, companies, and institutions to adopt environmentally-friendly practices and find ways of reducing paper, plastic and metal consumption, as well as e-waste, a new addition to the 2019 campaign.

The initiative also raises awareness of Qatar's sustainability goals among the nation's community.

During the ceremony, QGBC Director, Engineer Meshal Al Shamari expressed his pleasure at the continued success of "No Paper Day", which has continued to grow in momentum every year.

It has encouraged companies and organizations to reduce their recyclable waste and contribute to Qatar's efforts to build a more sustainable future.

Engineer Al Shamari had thanked all the organizations and individuals involved in this campaign for their tremendous efforts in contributing to a more sustainable future for our nation.

The 2019 NPD campaign has been launched for the seventh consecutive year on 16 March with the participation of a number of institutions and organizations in the State.
