Over the past three years, Aspire Zone Foundation managed to provide a unique and distinct bouquet of activities during the glorious month of Ramadan, which brought the community members together to share and celebrate the rituals and values of the holy month. This came as part of AZF’s mission to enable all community segments to engage in sports and physical activity throughout the year in a distinctive recreational atmosphere enjoyable by all family members.
Commenting on these events, Mr. Nasser Abdullah Al-Hajri, Director of Marketing at AZF, said: "Every year, AZF seeks to impress its audience with a comprehensive programs that touches on religious, sport and social needs of the public. The positive feedback we received from participants over the past years, along with the demands to continue delivering diverse Ramadan programs, motivated us significantly to come back this year with stronger and more comprehensive program. For the first time ever, we will offer the ‘Freej Aspire’ event for all community members, and we will expand the number of Ramadan Sports Festival tournaments into 12 sports.” Al-Hajri added: “We promise to impress the public with other surprises during the holy month."
Ramadan in Aspire Zone ... Get Spiritually Re-energized with “Bashaer Al-Rahma”
In a continuation of the success of the religious activities that took place last year, AZF will organize Ramadan religious program “Bashaer Al-Rahma" in partnership with Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF). Starting on the first night of Ramadan, the program will feature a series of evening lectures by outstanding Muslim clerics and scholars, who will cover various matters of concern for each Muslim.
In addition, the Al-Tarawih Prayer will be performed in congregation at Aspire Mosque, where a number famous reciters and imams will lead the prayer.
Ramadan in Aspire Zone... Heritage Revival in "Sloom" & Family Entertainment at "Freej Aspire"
Aspire Zone gives the audience during Ramadan nights a chance to enjoy the atmosphere of authenticity of our ancient heritage and traditions of our ancestors at "Freej Aspire". Constructed in the form of the "Lewan" the Freej will feature many games and traditional crafts and shops.
In collaboration with Qatar Charity, AZF will launch the "Sloom" program with the purpose of creating a social and cultural ambience for the citizens and residents of Qatar.
Ramadan in Aspire Zone... Gear up for the Game
For the fourth consecutive year, AZF will launches its Ramadan Sports Festival, having drawn huge popularity during the previous versions. This year’s festival will expand to include 12 sports games for men, women and children, in addition to people with special needs.
The festival will take place from June 22 to July 6 (7 to 21 Ramadan).
Men’s competitions will include seven sports: football, basketball, American football, beach soccer, volleyball, junior futsal, and table tennis for people with special needs in cooperation with the Paralympic Committee.
Women's competitions will be organized in collaboration with Qatar Women ports Festival, and will include 3 sports: volleyball, futsal, and basketball 3X3.
For the First Time Ever ... Tournaments for Banks and Embassies to Kick off at Aspire!
Out of its belief in the importance of making its world-class facilities accessible to all people to practice sport and physical activity, Aspire Zone is set to host the first tournament for banks in collaboration with the Qatar Central Bank (QCB). Eight banks will take part in the tournament, including: Qatar National Bank (QNB), Masraf Al-Rayyan, Barwa Bank, Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB), International Bank of Qatar (IBQ), Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ), Doha Bank and Qatar Development Bank (QDB).
Similarly, the first tournament for embassies will take place in Aspire Dome during Ramadan in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. More than 15 different embassies will compete for the tournament.
Ramadan in Aspire Zone ... Have Fun and Win Awesome Prizes!
In an attempt to keep closer contact and interaction with its audience via social media, and to make its Ramadan celebrations more challenging, AZF will be organizing 5 social media competitions: the first is for the best "Selfie" in Aspire using hashtag #FereejAspire. The top 4 captions that reach the highest number of likes will win iPhones and iPads. The second competition is for answering the daily question posted on AZF official Facebook page, where there will be a daily winner of a Sports Corner voucher. Meanwhile, professional photographers can join AZF photography competition starting on the 1st day of the holy month of Ramadan and ending during its last week. Aspire will award 25 winners by using their captions in Aspire’s future campaigns and across social media.
To make the Garangao night more special, there will an online competition for the top three most liked traditional costumes. iPhones and iPads will be waiting for the winners!

Believing in the power of collective efforts, AZF held a number of partnership agreements this year with several outstanding institutions across Qatar in order to provide the best diversified Ramadan program suitable for all audiences. In addition to its partnership with the RAF and Qatar Charity, AZF collaborates with Vodafone Qatar as an official telecommunications partner, as well as Sports Corner as an official partner of the festival.
