People need to be cautious against messages of fake Nokia UK raffle wins worth millions of Pounds being relayed through SMS, local partners of Nokia said yesterday. People are advised not to respond to any such SMS or emails which are claimed to be sent in the name of Nokia UK or from anywhere else informing them of a lottery win, Ajitabh, deputy manager (MarCom), Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC) said. “These are fake claims and can be used to extract money from customers,” Ajitabh added. “We advise people to be vigilant against such frauds and call CGC-Nokia ‘care line’ 4910666 for enquiries.” http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/Display_news.asp?section=Local_News&subsection=Qatar+News&month=April2009&file=Local_News2009042724046.xml
