The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) said on Thursday that a Unified Operations Centre will improve the services provided by MME to Qatari citizens and expats by speeding up response to emergencies. The centre will monitor events, different kinds of crises and disasters, and the speed in which they are responded to in coordination with the government and non-government agencies in Qatar, according to the Gulf Times.
The Project Manager Eng. Hamad Ahmed Al Hassan Al Mohannadi said the Unified Operations Centre project took six months to finish. Now that it is complete, the centre will focus on managing emergencies, ensuring there is no interruption of the workflow and will improve coordination between different sectors and administrations in Qatar.
