AN amendment to Qatar’s rent law empowering a landlord to evict a tenant under certain conditions is being considered by the Advisory Council, according to reports published in local Arabic dailies. One of the conditions is if the landlord requires the premises for accommodating his relatives. The Advisory Council has taken up the matter for discussion on the basis of a request made by member Rashed Hamad al-Medadi.
