Who doesn’t want to watch a good film in the lap of luxury? We thought so. Well, it’s showtime at FLIK Cinemas – a platinum and gold multiplex that just opened at Lagoona Mall over the weekend. The first of its kind in Qatar, the theatre is operated by Al Mana Group and features 172 luxury leather recliners, complete with personal snack-side table and cup cooler.

Movie-goers can also enjoy a whole new level of first-class service in its platinum cinema which will offer customers a carefully-crafted theatre snacks menu created by Fauchon Paris, which can be ordered through a personal iPad with tray service direct to their seats. Pillows and blankets are also available to guests upon request.

As an expanding project, two more FLIK multiplexes will open at the new Al Mirqab Mall on Al Nasr Street and Doha Mall in Abu Hamour with over 1,000 seats spread across eight theatres, and 1,400 seats spread across eight theaters respectively, including a wide-screen FlikMax concept. Both new cinemas will offer an array of Hollywood, Bollywood and Arabic-language that will cater to a wide audience.

The FLIK experience will be all about delivering a top-tier cinematic experience coupled with a luxurious ambiance and state-of-the-art technologies, while enjoying the classic art of film-making. Sounds promising! They’re also pioneering some new tech concepts at FLIK such as high-quality projection solutions and an award-winning sound experience thanks to Vive Sound.
