According to the Official Gazette published yesterday, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment's (MME) Decision No. 247 of 2020 determines the fees for using parks like Al Khor Park, according to Al Sharq.
The entrance fee for Al Khor Park has been determined as QR 15 for adults for the full day, QR 10 for each child under 10 years of age for the full day, and QR 10 for people with special needs for the full day. Visitors can also feed the animals for QR 50 per person, and can also take a train ride at QR 5 per person; free for those with special needs. During events and festivals, entry to the park will be QR 50 for everyone for the full day.
As for the other parks, they will be determined by a decision of the Ministry and the price for a full day ticket for adults will be QR 10, for children under 10 years of age, the ticket price for the full day will be QR 5, and for those with special needs, it'll be QR 5. During events and festivals, entry to the park will be QR 30 for everyone for the full day.
We reached out to the MME to ask them for more information on this news and to ask them which parks would be charging entry fees and when this would be enforced. They told us they did not yet have any official information on which parks would charge entry fees, but would let us know when they did.
