Four Seasons Hotel Doha has announced the appointment of their new director of marketing, Julian Crane, who arrives in Doha after working at the Four Seasons in Damascus. Crane has worked for the Four Seasons group since 1993, when he was appointed the front desk manager at the Regent in Kuala Lumpur. Crane is originally from Borneo, of British/Malaysian heritage, and he graduated from Portsmouth University with a degree in hotel business management and a marketing diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. “I am happy to be joining the Doha team,” said Crane, adding “Four Seasons Hotel Doha has been the leading hotel in the Qatari capital for the past seven years and it continues market leadership by enhancing its iconic product.” The new director of marketing explained that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations of all guest rooms, ambassador, Four Seasons and executive suites, as well as preparing to launch a new South East Asian-inspired signature restaurant over the coming months. Regional vice president and general manager of the Four Seasons, Simon Casson stated: “Part of the enduring strength of Four Seasons is our ability to manage senior leadership transitions smoothly between long term professionals who have grown up with the company, thus ensuring consistency in culture and connectivity with staff and guest alike.” “Julian’s appointment is a wonderful example and we look forward to him applying his years of Four Seasons experience for the benefit of our hotel,” he added.
