Healthy Eating for Families Series 2, a collaborative initiative by Art of Abundant Living and Calgary International Pre School will begin from 12th of November. The series is a combination of practical and exciting workshops and cooking classes for mums in Doha with children of all ages. The workshops have been designed to help busy mums plan healthy, nutritious and delicious yet quick meals for the family. Talking about Calgary International Pre School participation with Art of Abundant Living for this series, the school’s Technical Director Magdelize Janse van Vuuren said that , “As a teacher and Pre School Director, I cannot stress enough the importance of nutrition. I see on a daily basis, children not being able to concentrate, participate or explore learning opportunities, because of bad food choices offered to them in their lunch boxes. Vibrant colored, finger food is not only attractive to young eaters, but also teaches independent eating and provide a healthy basis for children to interact and socialise while eating. Teaching healthy eating habits now WILL have a positive impact on them for the rest of their lives.” After the successful completion of series 1, the organisers Art of Abundant Living are excited to launch series 2. Here is what Dr. Maysa Eddie, one of the participants had to say, “Thank you for this enlightening series. I personally found it to be so inspiring. It changes everything you thought you knew about what is healthy to eat. In fact, I have more optimism now to lose weight and maximize my energy levels. What is even better is that the course shows how easy it is to eat well even if you have a busy lifestyle such as mine.” The company’s Founder and Director Nicole van Hattem strongly believes that the vision of a healthy Qatar is only possible if we foster lifelong healthy eating habits in our young ones by educating and providing them with healthy eating options. The series 2 will comprise of two workshops and two cooking classes. These will be conducted by certified health coaches from Art of Abundant Living, a Global Holistic Health Coaching company.
