Mowasalat has launched a new batch of high-quality school buses that are equipped with black boxes similar to the ones used in planes to monitor and record all details about the movement of the buses.
The black box is used to get accurate information in case of an accident or any other problem. The buses also have water coolers for trips and excursions, among other modern amenities.
With addition of the new batch, the total number of school buses operated by the company becomes 1,319, serving 179 schools.
These include 915 large buses, 367 medium buses and 37 small buses. The company also operates seven school buses for children with special needs and two vehicles that are designed to accommodate students in wheelchairs, said Ahmed Al Ansari, Director of Business development at Mowasalat.
“We are very pleased with the attention the Supreme Education Council has been paying to the development of the transport services in the schools to make the trip to and from the school an enjoyable experience for students,” added Al Ansari.
The new buses maintain the highest standard of safety and comfort. They are equipped with safety belts in every seat, spacious cabins, and corridors made in accordance with the highest safety standards to prevent injuries. All buses have low step stairs making it easier for the children to get into the buses and out.
The buses are also equipped with new generation 15 inch display screens and DVD and CD devices. The air conditioners in the buses are designed to suit the weather conditions in the region.
All buses have mirrors and a rear camera to ensure the safety of the students on board.
