According to a report by The Peninsula, Mowasalat (Karwa) and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) have partnered to set up a fully integrated mental well-being clinic for its over 17,000 employees.
The initial phase will take place over a six-month period with consultant psychiatrists from HMC's Mental Health team together with Mowasalat's nursing staff forming a special task force to provide mental health assessments and counseling sessions.
This initiative aims to raise awareness of the importance of mental well-being to an individual’s overall psychophysical health as well as to provide easily accessible assistance, counseling, and guidance.
Mowasalat Health Professionals will also receive multidisciplinary education from Hamad Medical Corporation in awareness around mental health, and proficiency to recognize the signs of stress, anxiety, depression, and other related issues.
