Be extra cautious while driving during Iftar time. Most of the accidents in Ramadan happen at Iftar time, Ministry of Interior (MoI) warned in a social media post.
The ministry has issued tips for motorists to be followed during Ramadan on their social media platforms.
The ministry in their post urged motorist to avoid driving if you’re tired or drowsy. They also urged residents to avoid random parking in front of Masjids and other public places creating traffic block and closing way in front of others.
--- Be extra cautious while driving at Iftar time. Avoid last minute rushing to your home or iftar place. Start early and reach safely.
--- Avoid driving if you’re tired or drowsy. it will save your life as well as others.
--- Be patient and cooperate with other motorists, road users and security people.
--- Avoid random parking in front of Masjids and other public places creating traffic block and closing way in front of others.
--- Apart from the above, all the traffic rules and safety instructions shall be followed. Fastening your seat belt, not engaging with mobile devices, sticking to speed limit, keeping lane discipline, slowing down while approaching crosswalks, leaving safe distance between vehicles are important in ensuring road safety.
"We also remind you not to park in the slots reserved for the people with special needs and not to cut the traffic lines from side lanes.
