The competent authorities at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) referred seven people to the Public Prosecution after they used social media to spread false news and incited racial and tribal strife.
In a tweet, the MoI said that after concerned authorities at the Ministry of Interior found the content published in the accounts of the persons concerned and its connection to the subject of the accusation, they were referred to the Public Prosecution to complete its procedures followed in this regard.

The Ministry of Interior affirmed that it will not refrain from taking legal strong measures against anyone who adopts a racist discourse aimed at threatening the security, stability, and social peace of society.
The Ministry called on users of social media platforms not to offend any component of society, whether on tribal or racial grounds, stressing that the cohesion and stability of the Qatari society is the responsibility of everyone.
