MoI Launches Social Networking Pages in Multiple Languages Doha: The Ministry of Interior has launched official pages on social networking sites – Facebook, Twitter and YouTube- in different languages including Arabic, English, Urdu and Hindi. It will be an interactive window for the general public to interact with the ministry, to know about the activities and programs of the Ministry and express their views and opinions on it. It comes as part of the Ministry’s plan to keep pace with the developments in the web world and thus contributing in raising awareness among the different segments of the Community. By this, the Ministry aims at participation of the public in spreading security awareness through innovative means, and to know about the views of the public on the services offered by the Ministry. The Ministry provides through its social networking pages many services including information on Ministry’s activities and programs, traffic updates round the clock paving the way for reduction of traffic accidents and ensuring smooth flow of the traffic. Apart from the above, awareness texts are updated through the social pages continuously in order to raise security sense and to remind the users about safety procedures and also the pages introduce various services of the Ministry. The Ministry also receives through these pages opinions, queries and complaints of the general public regarding the various departments and services of the Ministry. Any remarks or queries will be clarified instantly or will be coordinated with concerned security department to take necessary steps.
