MoI Delegation Completes Visit to Japan

A delegation from Qatar's Ministry of Interior visited recently the Ministry of Interior of Japan. The delegation was headed by Col. Ali Salman Al Mohannadi, Chief of Parades and Patrols Group in the Internal Security Force and Lt.Col. Al Qamra, Head of traffic movement section in the traffic department, Capt. Hussain Aman Sabah Al Ali, Lt. Ali Jarallah Al Buraidi, Lt. Bassam Arqoub Al Khalidi, Lt. Khalid Nasser Al Otaibi and Lt. Riyadh Ahmed Salih were other members among the delegation. The visit was organized to learn about the experience of Japan in the field of traffic culture and legislation and to study about the future plans for the traffic and roads information system in Japan and traffic controlling through technology, in addition to finding out the modern ways for spreading traffic culture and disciplines among the public and legislating the traffic rules that control the traffic flow. The delegation also visited civil defense agency of Japan to get acquainted with Japan's experience in the civil defense field and with procedures taken by the government to protect the civilians and the media used in the field of fire fighting and the roles played by the civil defense personnel and volunteers. During the visit, the delegation visited extinguishing centre, department of disasters and dangers under the Japanese Ministry of Interior and watched the technology used for fire fighting and equipments for fire extinguishing.
