Dr. Majed Mohammad Hassan Abdullah Al-Ansari, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Spokesperson, announced via a tweet on 4 January 2023 that the recently circulating rumours regarding developments of the exemption of Schengen visa for Qatari citizens is false.
He stated that the information that was circulating was based on previous developments, and there has been no other development since then.
Dr. Majed also urged the public only to rely on official sources such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website or social accounts for any such information.
