MME plans to nationalise all jobs of specialisation by year 2021

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment has revealed a plan to nationalise all specialised jobs in the Ministry by 2021.

Jaber Abdullah Al Attiyah, Director of the Human Resources Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, said in a statement that this year 150 employees were replaced with Qatari citizens who had been transferred to the Ministry from the authorities concerned.

He said that 12 young Qataris out of 80 candidates who were sent abroad for higher studies were also appointed to work with the Ministry in specialised field once they will come back to the country.

“The plan for the replacement of specialised jobs and scholarships, which have been developed and implemented in coordination with the competent authority in the country includes sending citizens on scholarship over the course of 7 years (from 2015 to 2021) and also includes offering them specialised jobs such as engineering, veterinary medicine, law, IT,” said Al Attiyah.

He said that year 2018 witnessed many achievements and efforts in the field of human resource in the Ministry of Municipality and Environment in the framework of work to keep pace with Qatar National Vision 2030 according to the directives of H H the Amir and under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Interior Minister and the Minister of Municipality and Environment.

Al Attiyah said the number of online transactions since the beginning of the year until October 10 amounted to 316,728 transactions including 1,069 promotions in seniority, 388 exceptional promotions, 4,868 performance evaluations and 4,516 periodic bonuses. He noted that all transactions were made online in implementation of the Ministry’s policy of abolishing paper transactions.

Al Attiya said they have done periodically and the process continues throughout the year, but exceptional promotions are subject to different criteria which undergo special evaluation.
