In a tweet, the Ministry of Municipality (Al Baladiya) announced that the Umm Salal Municipality issued an administrative decision to close "Indian Taste" restaurant for 10 days. This was for violating Law No. 8 of 1990 regarding the regulation of human food control.

أصدرت بلدية أم صلال قرارا إداريا بإغلاق مطعم "المذاق الهندي" لمدة 10 أيام، وذلك لمخالفته قانون رقم 8 لسنة 1990 بشأن تنظيم مراقبة الأغذية الآدمية.

As per the Ministry, it is not permissible to open the closed shop or to carry out the activity or do maintenance during the closing period, and a violation of that will entail criminal liability.
