The Protection & Wildlife Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment has undertaken a campaign to restore Al-Hnerbiya Garden where 1,200 seedlings for wild plants commonly found in the area (acacia, sidr, chives, salam, boxthorn, and leptadenia) were cultivated in the garden on World Environment Day.
Additionally, a number of seedlings for pastoral plants were cultivated such as panicum & askhabar while 5,000 seeds for herbal plants as well as annual & evergreen Poaceae plants (askhabar, finger grass, coelachyrum, da’a, Al-halta, jisjas, & caper) were also planted.
