The Ministry of Transport in a Tweet, warned citizens and residents against scam emails using its name. The emails ask people to receive parcels in exchange of a payment, via credit or bank cards, through a fake link.

The fake email as per the image shared by Ministry of Transport states the following: “Hello, you have a parcel awaiting payment. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm your payment yet. Please confirm the payment (QR 2.00) postage fee via the link below. When the payment is complete, you will be able to receive it the next morning. The payment link will only be available within 24 hours, to complete the payment, click here.”

The Ministry also reminded people not to engage with scam emails and said that it is not sending any parcels to the general public.
