It has been announced in a tweet by the Ministry of Municipality on April 24, 2022 that a food establishment has been temporarily closed for a duration of 7 days.

أصدرت بلدية الريان قرارا إداريا بإغلاق المحيط هايبر ماركت " لمدة 7 أيام ، وذلك لمخالفة قانون رقم 8 لسنة 1990 بشأن تنظيم مراقبة الأغذية الآدمية.

The closure was done by the Al Rayyan Municipality of the establishment named "Al Moheet Hypermarket" as it had violated the law concerning the regulation of controlling human food. The law specifically violated was Law No.8 of 1990.

Furthermore, it was indicated that the concerned party had violated the law by handling food that was unfit for consumption.

The ministry urged for any food-related violations to be reported to the number 184.
